Blazin’
Cam from The Midwestyle is one fine dresser (feel free to interpret “fine” in whichever way you like). I’m always in awe of the amazing thrift store finds on this blog, and I can’t really accept that his white linen blazer was only $3. THREE. EFFING. DOLLARS!
Sure the boys from The Midwestyle have good taste, good looks, and look impeccable in blazers, but what I love about them is their attention to detail. Case in point, scissor tie clip:

You know what they say, “Appreciate the little things in life.”

Men’s Sunnies for Spring.
The silhouettes are in line with the classic Ray-Ban Wayfarer, but these are under $60! How’s that for WINNING, Charlie Sheen?

For all you GLEEKS out there…
The Glee guys for the April 2011 Prom Issue of Teen Vogue
Ladies, I’m sorry if I’m interrupting your swoonfest with my commentary (you don’t have to read on if you don’t want to), but let me just say that I’m loving the fun, fresh formal wear!
Too bad most teenage boys don’t appreciate finely tailored suits, not to mention that most of them wouldn’t even consider buying a velvet D&G blazer - like the one on Chord Overstreet - with their allowance. In fact, most of the guys at my prom rented their tuxes, which tend to fit awkwardly due to their “standardized” silhouettes and tailoring. Completely understandable, though…it’s usually best to invest in a good suit or tux later in life. But it’s nice to see a youthful take on formal menswear!
On another note, don’t be afraid to wear bow ties, guys! Don’t get me wrong, I still love regular ties, but it’s always nice to see a guy rock a bow tie every now and then…

These guys got it.
It was refreshing to come across a men’s personal style blog when sifting through my Tumblr feed. And FYI, good fashion doesn’t just come from NY and LA. Jeff, Seth, and Cam from The Midwestyle definitely understand casual men’s fashion without breaking the bank. In fact, they often score cool thrifted pieces under $20 and shop at places like J.Crew or Nordstrom (including Nordstrom Rack). If they do invest a little more cash on clothes, it’s on staple items like blazers, or a quality, well-fitting pair of jeans.
So guys (especially if you requested that I post more men’s fashion on my blog), take heed. You don’t have to spend that much to have a good, effortless sense of style. It may require a little more time shopping (which can also be done online), but looking good is worth it, because the ladies love it! Right, ladies?
